Top 5 Crazy Moments at Work Recently

Since I hinted on the weirdness that has been going on at work lately I may as well make my own top 5 list! I love lists!

#5- This may seem a little sad at first... I was sitting at the children's desk with one of my coworkers and we see a man running in and saying to call 911. Thankfully he was heading towards other librarian so we waited to see what happen. Apparently an elderly lady had fallen by the entrance. The medics came and she was fine thank goodness! Here's the crazy part- she was just more embarrassed because her wig came off and it was a bloody! Good thing I missed seeing that!!!

#4 On the same day as #5, we had to call the police because a child told us that they had just been dropped off there without an adult. The police come and we come to find out that a family member (the adult who had dropped her off) was in the library the ENTIRE time! Ugh...

#3 Once again on the SAME....DAY.... someone called the police AGAIN! This time is was because of a possible threat against one of our staff... Long story but my head boss locked themselves in their office and turned off the lights. Lets just say nothing came of it, which was not surprising....There is more to the back story, but it all just leads to another false alarm for the police. When something is actually happens I hope they doing think we are just crying wolf.

#2 We find all sorts of things left behind at night when we clean up. But this one is my favorite.... Someone left a STROLLER!!! Who forgets a stroller??? It's a giant thing that you push for your kids... I don't have kids so maybe I'm just crazy but really??? How???

#1 We have a Pooper! Yes, you read that correctly. We have someone, whom no one knows, that has been leaving us presents in one of the non fic areas. We have also been finding mysterious liquid in the same area.... Awesome. Thank random patron, thanks a lot. We do have public restrooms. Just saying...

I never knew working at a public library would prove to be so interesting!
